A Smoking Good Time!
The Cured Cooperative is one heck of a fine establishment and is located in North Spokane just South of the Lincoln and Market intersection. They really try to cater to every patient type, stocking medibles, essential oils, flowers, extracts, and many other items. For a list of their current stock click here. They are located on North Market with ample parking which is completely wheelchair friendly. It is service one at a time so be prepared to wait should other patients be with the tenders, but not to worry, they have a massage chair and usually a great video on the TV. This is a cash only dispensary and should be noted they do not have an ATM on site. Cured is open 7 days a week to accommodate those patients whom may have limited travel availability or access. The proprietor is extremely knowledgeable and so is his staff, with a broad range of technical and political knowledge they can answer just about any question. On the day of my visit the inventory was very well stocked and it gave me the option to really just look at each strain and decide based on their recommendations and what i felt suited me perfectly. To help with sleep and stomach pain i chose Cenex and another heavy hitter Chocolate HashBerry. Both of these strains are known for their powerful high and long lasting effects.

Chocolate HashBerry -
This strain is reportedly a cross between Chocolate Thai and Hashberry, which have combined to create a very powerful hybrid. Together these strains create a very mellow and staged high, giving the patient the best of both indica and sativa strains. Hashberry was the High Times strain of the year in 2006 supplied by Mandala Seeds. In my research I have found many comments by patients stating that the Chocolate Hashberry strain really helps migraine sufferers and has been recommended for both headaches and depression. It can also be used in the mornings or in the evening and will not knock you out.

Look –Very rich colors ranging from bright green and dark oranges to hints of purple.
Odor – Rich and pungent with a chocolate/pepper smell. It also has a note of sweet pine that is kind of buried under the pungent spicy chocolate odor.
First Hit – Smooth and crisp. The taste is a heavier flavor, you can taste the heavy resin with its hints of Hashish.
The High – Because of the cross of indica and sativa you get a first stage mind high followed by the second stage body high.
Stoniness – The effects are long lasting and uplifting.
Body High – Very subtle effects slowly climbing to intense and very relaxing.
Mind High – Uplifting and creatively invigorating.
Anxiety Reduction – In small doses (one hit maybe two small hits) is excellent for morning or evening use.
Pain Reliever (different types of pain?) – The body high is subtle so would be good choice for mild/moderate aches and pains. I have seen several reports that the uplifting mild mind high works very well for migraines.

Cenex -
I love the Cenex strain and it has been one of my mainstays in Medical Marijuana. Cenex is a Portland Based strain and is cross of Cinderella 99 and Vortex. But you may have heard it is crossed with a Kush and not the Vortex, although I believe it to be Vortex. This is an excellent daytime/anytime sativa (60/40) dominate strain with reports of relief from brain fog brought on by seizures. Cenex is perfect for building a positive mindset and stimulating creative energy.

Look –Brilliant green & completely frosted with crystals.
Odor – The smell only Cenex has. It is very sweet and skunky. An intense citrus with light pine odor.
First Hit – Very smooth and sweet tasting.
The High – Energetic and uplifting, will get you up and going. Making this excellent for morning/afternoon use.
Stoniness – Very light and clear. The effects are long lasting and smooth.
Body High – Mellow and even. Can be felt throughout entire body.
Mind High – Uplifting and crisp. A great choice for those artsy fartsy people that enjoy getting back to a forgotten hobby.
Anxiety Reduction – Personally one of my top choices for mild/moderate anxiety and sleep disorders.
Pain Reliever (different types of pain?) – Should provide relief for headaches, muscle and joint pain, stomach cramps and general body aches.
Final Note:
The Cured Cooperative is an excellent choice for Medical Marijuana patients located on the North side of Smokane. The store is extremely clean and comfortable with plenty of access for mobility restricted patients. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant and filled with good vibes. Stop in talk to Joe or any of the staff and just tell them Tallie sent you.
Happy Medicating!
