Here is an article I found today. I fully believe that Medical Marijuana will be examined under a microscope in the next few years but we need to make sure we are safe and above all, responsible. Please read and feel free to leave your comments.

Tallie's Special Garden Post - Shhh McShhh & His Ice Cream
High Everybody!
I Scream, You Scream

This strain has been around for some time and has even won some Highlife Cup Competitions a few years back. In 2008 it came in 2nd place in the “Hydro” category and in 2009 it placed 3rd in the “Bio” category. Ice Cream, a 60/40 Indica dominant strain, is a high yielding and fast growing plant which flowers at about 55-65 days and is ready by early October for both indoor and outdoor growing. It seems most commonly recommended for stress and mild pain coming in a close 2nd.
My notes:
Strain– Ice Cream
Look
– Very rich with deep greens contrasting with vivid green and dark orange
hairs. This sample is very dense and completely covered in crystals.
Odor – Is intensely Sweet and sour with a slight hint of ripe pine. The sweet smell really overpowers the pine though and comes out just so fresh smelling.
First Hit – The very first taste is sour and slightly sweet. It is very hard to describe because the hit is smooth and the flavor is very sour before you catch the sweet.
The High – Light and uplifting to be sure, a little bit of this Ice Cream will have you easing in to just about any project. Ice Cream has a very mellow high and would certainly be okay for regular daily use.
Stoniness – It’s a little bit of a creeper. While it is a subtle and mellow high it seemed to take a little bit to feel the full effects which took about 10 -15 min though the high was very long lasting. Long lasting for me, a very regular smoker with a fairly high tolerance is about an hour maybe an hour 45 min. I am not saying I smoke a lot but here is a true story for you. My friend comes to visit me from out of town, and while we are smoking a few bowls my friend says, “I bet I smoke more weed than you”! To which I say, “You just might”, secretly I am laughing inside hysterically. To make a long story short, three days later, after I have forgotten all about the comment, my friend who is about to head on home, gives me a hug and says, “I don’t smoke more weed than you”. We both laughed pretty hard about that.
Body High – Very light, I did not feel heavy or weighed down at all. In fact the feeling was the complete opposite.
Mind High – This strain has an uplifting and energetic high which will allow you to focus what needs to get done and be able to do it. The high is more cerebral than body.
Anxiety Reduction – With the uplifting high from this sample I would recommend Ice Cream for moderate to severe anxiety relief. Panic attack sufferers could easily load some Ice Cream extract into a vaporizer pen and have the ability to treat when needed discreetly.
Pain Reliever (different types of pain?) – Mild muscle pain and slight headaches would be helped greatly by this strain. Also I had very good results using this for my stomach cramps. Some mornings these cramps are very intense and still Ice Cream helped out immensely.
Final Note: With its light and uplifting effects, Ice Cream is a great choice for those that want a focused long lasting effect that does not slow or weigh you down. I would highly recommend this strain for patients who occasionally feel paranoia from heavy strains.

Washington D.C. Says High Everybody!
High Everybody!
In case you missed it. Washington D.C. legalizes Marijuana but Florida says "NO"...
One of the many resources I use is the MPP or Marijuana Policy Project. They have an immense amount of information regarding Medical Marijuana laws across the country. I thought that I would post this little snap from their website just to introduce you to another resource for political updates and information.
While there is much cause for celebration, passage of I-71 is just the first step. Congressional review will not end until February or March 2015. In addition, the initiative does not create a legal, regulated market for marijuana. Please encourage your councilmembers to create such a system.
Congratulations to the Yes on 71 campaign, the Drug Policy Alliance, and everyone else who worked on and voted for this historic effort.

D.C. voters legalize marijuana for adults 21 and older
On November 4, D.C. voters overwhelmingly approved Initiative 71,
which will legalize the limited possession and cultivation of marijuana
by adults who are 21 or older. Please note that it does not change

it will not go into effect unless it clears a 30-day Congressional

Green Hill - Green Zombie

Today's review is of a fine establishment called Green Hill, which happens to be in the Eastern Washington Cannabis Market. Green Hill has a large selection of flowers ranging in price from $8-$12 per gram and also carries many infused products such as topical lotions and creams. As of now they do not have much of an online presence, which I hope will change in the future to give patients a better idea of the needs they can serve. The complete list of the flowers at the Market is available here and are not broken down by vendor but the vendor for each flower is listed after the strain, just ask Hermit when you walk in and he should point you in the right direction. The Market is located on the corner of 3rd and Perry across from Office Depot.
For today's samples I explained to Terri Hill, the proprietor, my anxiety and stomach issues and asked for a recommendation on a good hybrid that was more on the indica dominate side that would help with both my stomach discomfort and my anxiety. Terri's recommendation was the Green Zombie, a nice 70/30 indica strain known for a heavy lackadaisical affect on the user and would help with both sleep and appetite.
Green Zombie -
I was not familiar with Green Zombie and even now not entirely sure of its origins. I have found lots of information on Zombie OG and White Zombie as well as others of the Zombie name but not much on this sample. What I was able to learn about the genetic traits of this strain is the affects are heavy and lethargic and have been a favorite among those suffering from muscle spasms and acute
pain. This strain is best used at nighttime, when
you’re not expecting or maybe able to do much of anything. Some users
choose it to induce appetites and calm queasy stomachs as well, again this is really good for me!

If taken just before bed it may be a knock out for a good night sleep though, but I would recommend caution as with some very potent strains this may induce anxiety. For chronic pain sufferers though, I think that the over all comatose Green Zombie may cause should be ideal. I would really like to hear from Fibromyalgia sufferers regarding if this particular strain helps or causes more pain.

Body & Mind High: These are both equally intense and heavy. You might plan to put on a movie but most likely will fall asleep in the first few scenes. Light users might try a few small doses at a time to judge the effects.
Anxiety Reduction: I tend to be up fairly early and a very small hit of this strain has a long lasting result and while this is good for regular use it is easy to over do it and possible cause a greater sense of paranoia. So small doses of the Green Zombie for the day's general duties is more than enough. I would recommend a lighter strain for anxiety relief specifically if that is what you are treating. A strain like Blue Cheese or a Kush may be more suited.
Pain Reliever: Now here is where the Green Zombie really shines. The intensely heavy mind and body high makes this a top choice for acute pain and migraine sufferers. Again I must cation my Fibromyalgia readers because in my experience indica strains tend not to be a good choice, but as always I would love to hear your experiences.
Final Note: Terri is very knowledgeable and has a wide variety of creams and other infused products that are worth looking into. I would recommend the Green Zombie for deep muscle pain and joint pain but if you have used topical creams before and have had good or bad results please let me know, together we can spread the word!
